Kristy Benoit, EP
Kristy has a passion for preventative health. She has spent the last several years working alongside other healthcare providers. While treating patients, supplementing the services that others were providing (such as physical therapy, massage therapy, and care from Primary Care Physicians ), she was learning new skills, and always putting her patients first. She decided that branching out on her own would allow her to help the greater community on a larger scale, and Balance to Thrive in Wellness, LLC was born.
Kristy grew up in Colchester, VT playing soccer and running track. Sports have always been an important part of her life. Growing up in this beautiful state, she knew she wanted to stick around so she attended the University of Vermont and graduated with a degree in Exercise and Movement Science and a minor in Special Education. After graduation, Kristy passed her national exam to start treating patients and it didn’t take long before she realized that something was missing in her life. It was learning – how could that be all that there is to know? Kristy loves to learn and read. Her husband can attest to her always having 2-3 books, podcasts, and several scientific articles all going at once. Not to mention the continuing education courses that she takes regularly to become a better practitioner.
Kristy lives in the town of Essex with her husband, Steve, and their dog, Evy. You will often find them all (yes, Evy too) outside together, no matter the time of the year. They love hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, trail running, and hanging out by a bonfire together. One day they plan to move to a nice piece of land away from all the hustle and bustle – but don’t worry, Kristy will still be treating patients!
